Jan 24, 2014 ROSIE SANDERS ‘KALEIDOSCOPE RING’ SHORTLISTED FOR THE BJA ‘COCKTAIL RINGS FOR THE CATWALK’ AWARD ROSIE SANDERS’ Kaleidoscope Cocktail Ring has been selected by a panel of industry experts from the British Jewellers’ Association specifically looking for strong, fresh design ideas with impact, quality of manufacture and designs that are wearable and have commercial viability. ROSIE SANDERS is one of two designer jewellery brands shortlisted to win the BJA ‘Cocktail Rings for the Catwalk’ award which is open to all designer jewellers and jewellery companies registered and operating within the UK. The winner will be announced on the 3rd of February at The Jewellery & Watch Show at the NEC in Birmingham and will receive £1000.00 towards exhibiting at the show. ROSIE SANDERS’ Kaleidoscope Cocktail Ring is a spectacular showpiece that features Rosie’s trademark Renaissance Rebel collection scroll motif in an eight pointed star arrangement. The sterling silver ring features a beautiful princess cut London Blue Topaz stone that contrasts with a layer of 18ct. yellow gold vermeil. Each part of the ring including the shank, the two cartouche style crosses, and the claw setting are all hand fabricated and individually soldered together by Rosie in London. The Kaleidoscope Ring is also complimented by a matching pendant and a range of stunning designs from the new Kaleidoscope Collection to be released later this year. “To be selected as a finalist to win this award is a huge endorsement of my design, bench and branding skills. It’s invaluable to gain recognition for all the hard work that goes into maintaining traditional British craft skills at the heart of my brand of neoclassically inspired luxury jewellery.” Rosie says. “Our judges were faced with tremendous choice. As the winners demonstrate the cocktail or dress ring is back and has been given some wonderful contemporary twists. It would be hard to beat these designs for impact and innovation,” commented the BJA’s Lindsey Straughton.“ The Kaleidoscope Collection forms Part III of Rosie’s signature Renaissance Rebel collection which celebrates the life and style of iconic 18th century French courtesan, Madame De Pompadour. As a fitting tribute to Rosie's creative inspiration, the Renaissance Rebel collection now adorns The Wallace Collection museum in London. Stay tuned for news and pictures of the catwalk show and award ceremony to be held at the Jewellery and Watch Show at Birmingham NEC, to be announced on ROSIE SANDERS' social media, website and blog.
